It is responsible for circulating air and keeping the fire burning by circulating hardwood smoke through the cook chamber, much like a convection oven, thus providing evenly cooked, wood-fired food. Induction fans will look like either of the images below, depending on the type of grill you have. AC (non-connected grills) will have the white fan with an orange wire harness. It is normal for the grill fan to run intermittently and at different speeds--the controller consumes information from other components of the grill and will adjust fan behavior to meet the temperature expectations you set. For example, you may notice fan behavior changes when you ignite your grill, use SUPER SMOKE, or change the grill temperature. You may also notice it mid-cook if the flame is low or has gone out and the controller is trying to re-ignite the grill.AC GrillsUnlike D2 grills, induction fans in AC grills run consistently.
