Story. Just my thoughts devil2man Member Offline Activity: 759 Merit: 15 let's say that burst has never taken off as an altcoin in many years of existence its maximum value was 12 cents of a dollar and now they are also changing the way to mine it is no longer a pure pow on hard disk but you must have already some burst altcoin in your possesion in order to mine then it has become a mixture of pow + staking (pos), so i definitely prefer chia that has entered the market with a high value of about 1600 $, currently it has dropped a lot, settling on a value of 315 $ but it remains a altcoin convenient to mine if you have a lot of hard disk space, the only risk is to burn the ssd during plotting, we have to be careful Abiky (OP) Legendary Offline Activity: 3486 Merit: 1424 www.Crypto.Games: Multiple coins, multiple games BURST has many years and it survives so it is good to see BURST now has a colleague for hard drive mining, CHIA $XCH.I would like to choose BURST, not CHIA. My choice is not because technical aspect but I think CHIA is risky and BURST can take advantage of a hype on CHIA to recovery from its bottom.I consider BURST as Ethereum Classic that had good growth by taking advantage of Ethereum upgrade.BURST is a tried and tested blockchain network with years of experience. Chia, on the other hand, is relatively new to the crypto space (which brings a high level of risk to its holders). We could say that going all in Chia is like going through "uncharted waters". Somehow, Chia has obtained a higher price per coin than BURST itself. This could be related to aggressive marketing/promotion efforts by the Chia team. BURST folks better do the right thing for the project could go all the way down the drain. Something innovative that would "blow" the entire crypto/Blockchain space, could help attract investors into BURST.Ultimately, what matters is mainstream adoption for a cryptocurrency project to survive. Adoption for BURST has been quite low, but it's still "kicking" after all these years. Both Chia and BURST have hard drive mining capabilities, which bring a high level of accessibility to people in the mainstream world. It's much easier to mine coins with a HDD than an ASIC or GPU. Time will tell us whenever the new consensus algorithm (Proof of Capacity) will become a success or a failed experiment. Just my thoughts
