Augmentations are a special class of items in Nightingale which allows players to unlock and craft certain kinds of recipes. In the current early access build of the game, there are no tutorials given about how augmentations work, which might make it hard for players when it comes to crafting higher-tiered items. Read ahead as we talk more about Augmentations and how this crafting mechanic works in Nightingale.Augmentations are crafted objects that are placed near crafting stations in order to be able to craft certain recipes. These should be placed in proximity to the crafting stations in order for the crafting stations to get their effects.Crafting stations, including workbenches, sewing benches, and alchemical boilers, can benefit from the effects of these augmentations depending on the recipes that can be crafted through them. Each crafting station will have varying augment slots seen as the hexagonal slots; the higher the tier of the crafting station, the more slots there will be.The Crafting Menu is a good place to view recipes, as each recipe will show the crafting station along with the types of augmentations that are needed in order to be able to craft them. Although some recipes list multiple augmentations, it’s best to note that you will only need one of the ones listed, as they are more likely to be categorized under the same augmentation type. Pay attention to the icon of the augmentation type, as these will also be the same icons that you will see within the crafting stations’ slots.Augmentations have to be placed near the crafting stations that need its effects. After an augmentation has been made and taken out of inventory, a green line will show that connects the augmentation to a nearby crafting station that is compatible with it.
